@DEvanAltman Completely fair assessment. I’m just sick of rotating through journeymen catchers since we let Contreras walk. Gotta imagine Ballesteros gets a bunch of work during the spring to see where he’s at behind the plate, and I’m hoping for the best 🤞

@baseball_buj My concern there is that I don’t think he’s ready for everyday reps behind the plate and I’m not sure there’s room to rotate him at DH.

I think the answer has to be Ballesteros. That’s the one spot we can say for certain is weak. Even if he needs work behind the plate, wouldn’t you like him in the hands of, presumably, the best coaches in the org at the MLB level?

Shaw is *probably* the next guy for me, but only if it’s because Nico isn’t able to play to star the season. I want Shaw getting everyday playing time
