Talked about this over the last year on the show. As cool as it is to be able to throw with both arms, the gap between the two sides was too large. Cijntje's right-handed FB averaged 96 MPH with a 71% strike rate while his left-handed FB was 92 MPH with a 48% strike rate.

💯 but I’d take out “flashy” and add like defensive/work rate anomaly like Tyler Adams. You don’t have to be good or great at anything else if you can cover half the field and free up everyone else to play their game and worry less about taking risks, but Musah isn’t that either

I think you have to put Trout, Pujols, Ohtani or some (not Jeter) non-roid guy from the last 20 years into contention just because of how drastically the sport has changed. I don’t think baseball has a GOAT because it’s an incomprehensible concept, but you need that base covered

I think anyone that takes a serious look at who is the GOAT for MLB (live ball era) ends up with 5 serious contenders. Ruth Williams Mays Aaron Bonds I don't think Jeter is in the top 20.

How can you be better at every single position, lose, and not have to do some serious soul searching? They’re so lucky it’s the USA. This would be a national humiliation in another country. You’d have players crying into microphones while reading handwritten apologies.
