@tommykimmelman @niftygateway Nifty Gateway was a magical place when you were there. Each week was pumped to see which artists were dropping and what the pieces were. The hype days of NG were the most entertaining experience I’ve had on the internet. Hopefully one day we can bring it back.

Seeing the @niftygateway announcement is bittersweet. My years at there were some of the most intense, rewarding, and difficult of my life. There’s no feeling like the ones we had during a drop knowing that an artist’s life was being changed forever. Helping facilitate hundreds of millions of dollars in earnings for the creative community is something I’ll carry with me forever. Looking back, there are so many lessons I've taken from that time. My heart was always with the community, and I wish I had done even more to advocate for the artists and the collectors who only wanted to see the platform succeed. Your insight should have been followed. While I’m proud of the artists we helped, I know that we could have done so much more. There is much more I could say about this, but at the end of the day, it’s better to leave it untouched and focus on the positives. I’m proud of what we accomplished and the lives we changed despite having so many obstacles and adversaries. I will always look back on this impressed with what we overcame and the impact we made on the world.

this whole narrative of shaming people for using AI to help write things is stupid. everyone should be using AI as a creative partner for copy & content. you shouldn't be proud of spending 3X longer to write something inferior, just because you did it "all by yourself."
