🚨🇾🇪🇮🇷 Yemen's government says its forces bombed the runway at Sanaa airport to stop an Iranian plane from landing. 🇮🇷🇺🇸 The Strait of Hormuz has basically emptied out as the U.S. and Iran keep trading blows. Only 6 ships made the crossing yesterday, per Kpler, including a supertanker loaded with 2 million barrels of Iranian crude and another with 500,000 barrels of Kuwaiti fuel. The real number's probably a bit higher, with some vessels reportedly killing their transponders to stay off the radar. The messaging is a mess too. Trump swears the waterway is open, Iran says it slammed it shut after a ship tried sneaking through an unapproved route. Earlier today the IRGC claimed it stopped 2 more ships, no names given. 🇧🇭 🇮🇷 🇴🇲 Sirens are wailing across Bahrain again, the 3rd time in a matter of hours. Early reports point to possible incoming drones as the U.S.-Iran fight keeps spilling across the Gulf. It lands right after the IRGC announced the 5th phase of its retaliation, with missile and drone strikes on U.S. installations in Al Juffair, Bahrain. Tehran also claims it destroyed 2 radars in Oman, an FPS long-range aerial system and a vessel detection radar, though none of the damage is independently confirmed. This Turkish company recently signed a $200 million agreement with the Nigerian firm NIGUS to supply 100,000 kamikaze drones alongside other advanced UAV systems to the Nigerian military. The agreement allows for the drones to be locally assembled in Nigeria, alongside a conditional transfer of technology. That combination makes the deal one of Turkey’s largest defence exports to Africa.
