Jesuit wrestling captured three individual State titles this weekend and placed 8 wrestlers on the podium at the 2A State Tournament! Competing at Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, three Tigers earned gold medals: Reid Yakes '27 (138 pounds), Mason Basile '27 (150), and K.J. Vazquez '27 (165)! For all three juniors, it is their first individual State crown after placing highly at the State Tournament in prior years. Jesuit has now earned an amazing 27 individual State titles in head coach Sal Basile's 11 seasons. The three champions were joined on the podium (top 8 in each weight class make the podium) by five teammates in what was another historic team performance for Jesuit wrestling: * Zach Leto '28 (113) - 2nd * Cash Cailliau '26 (120) - 3rd * Robert Frijouf '29 (106) - 4th * Caden Krsul '28 (144) - 5th * Ethan Smith '27 (126) - 7th The Tigers now have had an incredible 61 wrestlers reach the podium the past 8 seasons, nearly 8 per season. In the team standings, the Tigers were neck-and-neck with Lake Gibson and Somerset Academy throughout the three days at State, with Lake Gibson winning with 179 points to 173 for Somerset Academy and 171 for Jesuit.
