@bookscharming I understand the impulse, but think the efforts are misguided. Agatha Christie wrote those words. No amount of cover up will change that. I say educate instead of attempting to eradicate. Use better words to refute the ones she wrote that are worth challenging .

Agatha Christie novels reworked to remove potentially offensive language. But why and who decides all these things? #readers, #writers, #authors What are your thoughts on this issue?

Who’s your favorite audiobook narrator?

@Nickyshearsby22 If I’m forced to choose only one, I’d say better preparation. I tend to get so excited about an idea, I start before I’ve done sufficient research.

What character death gets you every time?

@Nickyshearsby22 I try to start with the end in mind. Not a specific end necessarily, but a general target. Also, when I read it for the first time, I consider how my ending serves the characters, plot and themes of the story.

When it comes to ending your novel(s), how do you ensure they have a satisfactory conclusion? I've read so many great books with endings that let them down.

@PSLiterary I can’t write to music. It sparks my musical creativity, and I end up improving for hours at the piano or guitar.

How do you find your next read?

@Nickyshearsby22 I’m a sucker for romance with unlikely couples. It’s fun to watch your characters realize their attraction.

How important is it that your characters find love? Are they in love? Are they looking for it? Even non romance novels tend to include it in some form. What does love look like in your book(s)?

@Nickyshearsby22 Yes and yes, when the characters lead me there. Some of the most compelling parts of stories happens during the most devastating moments.

Do you ever kill off your characters? Would you kill a main character?

@PSLiterary The Hacienda by @isabelcanas_ A beautiful piece of speculative fiction with complex characters. Such a joy to read.

What’s a book you couldn't put down?

@PSLiterary No. My handwriting’s atrocious. I’d never decipher my notes.

Do you write in the margins of books you're reading?

@scalzi The chewbaca technique.

@byMorganWright I don’t understand the casual ease with which some people express violent intent. It’s as baffling as it is heartbreaking to me.

A man just aggressively lashed out at my mother in the supermarket after she asked “Excuse me?” with a smile to pass by him. The f*cker had the audacity to take a step towards her & ask “you got a problem?”. WTF😳? I stepped in between them & er… he doesn’t like me much💀.

The robots are coming. I’ve been following this pretty closely over the past 10 years or so. I’m as excited as I am scared. Is there anyone sailing centric that is involved in AI research?
