Saw Robert Eggers’ latest film, “Nosferatu.” First time back at Cinema Chante in a while. Turns out it was June 1st—completely sold out. It felt like being in a dream the entire time, utterly spellbinding. As a fan of “Egga-chan (Robert Eggers, of course)” and of the classic Nosferatu (Dracula), I was completely satisfied. The worldbuilding, production design, costumes, lighting, the use of shadows and smoke, and the homage-style direction were all superb. Classic gothic horror can indeed be art.
Disturbia was an all-time summer sleepover classic back in the day when summers actually meant something instead of nonstop, endless work. I really don’t know what to tell you other than you kinda sorta just had to be there, man. The nostalgia is so incredibly strong.
First teaser for ‘GOOD FORTUNE’, starring Seth Rogen, Aziz Ansari, Keanu Reeves, and Keke Palmer.
The film follows Keanu Reeves as an inept angel who meddles in the lives of a gig worker and a wealthy man.
In theaters on October 17.
