A good woman who doesn't have many friends isn't lonely, she's powerful. She's not chasing attention or trying to fit in, she chooses peace over drama and being real over being fake. She's learned the hard way that not everyone deserves access to her life, so she keeps her circle small to avoid drama and toxic relationships. She doesn't need others to feel important because she knows her worth and won’t let you in if you don’t deserve it.

She remembers the way you looked at her when you first fell in love. She remembers when you stopped looking at her that way. She remembers every time you chose your phone over conversation with her. She remembers when you defended her to your family. She remembers when you didn't. Her heart keeps a record of every moment between you. The good ones and the painful ones. The times you made her feel special and the times you made her feel invisible. She's not keeping score to hurt you. She's keeping track because that's how her heart works. She remembers because every moment with you matters to her. So make sure she's remembering the right things. Because years from now, when she thinks about you, what do you want her to remember? The man who cherished her, or the man who took her for granted? The choice is yours, but her memory is forever.

One of the most ridiculously confusing parts of narcissistic abuse: They don’t treat you badly all the time. They mix cruelty with just enough kindness to keep you doubting yourself.

Marry a man who reaches out to you after an argument. Not to prove he's right, but to remind you that the relationship matters more than his pride. Choose the man who, even in the middle of the storm, still chooses you. Because love isn't about winning against your partner. It's about protecting the sacred relationship and bond that you have. The right man doesn't fight to win the argument. He fights to keep you together. He fights to keep you feeling safe. Remember that.

@MatthewCoast If only more people appreciated this. Let alone how he was with me, my ex was even awkward with my D to get at me - eventually confessing he wouldn’t pay stuff for her as I apparently could use my divorce settlement for it!

You fail as a man when you harm the emotional stability of your children's mother, knowing she is their primary source of strength and support.

@libriscent And I think it’s so sad that it can happen so gradually you don’t realise until years have gone by….years lost and then you realise you’ve ended up a shadow of who you once were!

I think the saddest thing is when you see a woman stay with a man that’s clearly not meant for her or doing right by her, and he starts sucking the life out of her… she stops dressing nice, stops wearing makeup, and doing her hair, goes from lively and happy to timid and depressed, her whole aura fades from vibrant to meek... some of these people are draining beautiful women from the inside out and it’s so sad to see, I pray for every woman in a toxic relationship and I hope one day you have the energy to leave

@Duffycaramole The 10p is a temporary pre authorisation charge until they calculate the proper fare. Will come through in a day or so is my guess.

@batsdolm They appear to have charged me only 10p, according to my credit card company. My daughter has been charged £13.50. Bizarre!

FFS TfL can't check how much I've been charged bc I've only used the card for one journey. So I must set up an a/c and register the card. Round in circles we went, the CS guy and me. "Catch 22," I said. "I don't know what that means," said he. My will to live left the room.
