SOME DAYS we don’t get guest teachers when our amazing @DWEdublin teachers are out. So we cover music classes…and SOME DAYS we get to just get out of the way so those amazing souls can be the ones to bring music into the space!
Loved seeing all the @DWEdublin Ss celebrating eachother throughout the day! How important it is for teachers like Mrs.Adkins and Jess setting up those opportunities Walk the red carpet!
DWE Rox girls finished off their last session with career speakers, and a celebration! Thank you to Brittany Misner with Monte Christopher holding company, Jenny Wells, Licking co. Prosecutor, and Olivia Parkinson, Licking Co Clerk of Courts for being strong role models for all!
No additional commentary necessary. Speechless. And that takes a lot.
This is an absolute beautiful message.
Thank you @ArmyLaxCoach and best of luck next weekend in Annapolis.
We are so proud of @DublinSchools Scioto HS students Maylah Marcus and Hope Ford for organizing a book drive to help put amazing literature into the hands of our DWE kiddos! Our favorite Media Center week of the year…Free Book Fair! Before and after photos say it all! 📚 💕
It requires a great deal of time and effort for a skill to become “effortless.” Uncommon performance—which appears effortless to people watching—is the result of the cumulative impact of focused and relentless practice repeated over time.
To put it another way, what looks like “magic” to others is actually the result of investing an enormous amount of time to master the mechanics of the skill. The reality is that you can have magic in any area of your life, but only if you do the work to master the mechanics. It is a non-negotiable law of success: No mechanics, no magic.
This is true for skill in every domain: Competing in a sport, working in a business, playing a musical instrument, speaking a language, managing your emotions, or building healthy relationships.
If you want greatness, you gotta do the work.
Ss celebrating eachother in @amandajorgenson classroom today @DWEdublin each Ss got to share something they like or a special memory they have with a specific student each day!
@DWEdublin field day hosted by Supergames was a success. Beautiful weather, even more beautiful smiles from our Ss! Thank you to our PTO and volunteers for your support!!
Reason #5 for avoiding BCD: It damages your credibility. The more you BCD, the more you will develop the reputation of a complainer, and people won't see you as helpful. They will hesitate to collaborate with you and will avoid your negative energy.
Solution: Protect your personal brand. Build the reputation of someone others can count on to get things done, not someone who complains. Become a source of positive energy.
Reason #3 for avoiding BCD: It is habit-forming.
BCD gets easier each time you do it. Once you start, it's hard to stop. It becomes your default reaction when things don't go the way you want, and there will always be things that don't go the way you want.
Solution: When you encounter difficulties and obstacles, don’t be surprised. Be prepared. Recognize BCD in your life and replace it with a resolution and resilience mindset. Stop feeding the BCD habit!
Today DWE Fourth graders from Mrs. Traber’s class taught their younger Kindergarten Schoolmates about Holi-one of the most popular Hindu festivals! They helped them make coffee filter light catchers to hang in the classroom. #bettertogetherdcs#alwaysgrowingdcs
