The republican front will mobilize in the final week. We saw it in 2022, we saw it in 2024, and we’ve seen it partially in the municipal elections. As for the left or center-left, starting at around 42% in a runoff is not a bad position in such a right-leaning context, so they would still have a path. That said, their best opportunity might be 2032 if they manage to reach the second round in 2027 — even if they don’t win — as they could then emerge as the main opposition.
