Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga is an anomaly among the Ten Shadows' shikigami. Besides being the only one with a name that fancy, it's the only shikigami not to have an animal-like appearance + the only one to be summoned alongside clothes & a weapon.

I actually think that Mahoraga was never supposed to be part of the Ten Shadows technique, and that it somehow merged into becoming part of 10S over time.
This would explain why 10S isn't equipped to tame Mahoraga. It was never supposed to be. [🧵]
