Over February Break, the Firebird wrestling team traveled to Buffalo to compete in the NY CHSAA State Tournament at St. Mary’s High School—one of the toughest tests of the season for the 19 Firebirds who qualified. Chris Parisi led the way with a dominant run to the CHSAA Finals at 190 lbs., finishing as Runner-Up and falling just one point short to the No. 1 ranked wrestler in New York. Nicolas Bribitzer earned a hard-fought 4th-place finish, while Brendan Barkley and Marco Cigliano also placed 4th. Reagan Cruz and Bryce Boccio claimed 5th place, and Alexander Winter-Lipari, Ryan Arecco, Colin Regan, and Nathaniel Chungata each finished 6th in their respective weight classes.
