@ronaldobrownn_ Transfers don’t fall like domino’s. He will be a huge upgrade. Sometimes you gotta play the game to get your first target. Not signing the other players leaves you missing out, judge the window at the end. Strong start if we sign ederson but it needs another 4 players.

Horrible mentality & market approach for an elite club. High bar = better outcomes: Target transformative or top-tier players. At 80-90% potential they still elevate the squad; even underperformance leaves a valuable, rotatable asset. @Malachians I’d be worried about lack of height with that combo. Two of those in the 5ft height range and one just touching 6ft. I like the players but not sure they would be imposing enough? Especially when other first team players aren’t hugely tall.

@htomufc @Ankaman616 @Muppetiers does a good job at explaining the importance of the cb’s for an Amorim system. With our cb’s sitting so deep it creates bagel fc which we have suffered with for what feels like a decade in various different systems.

Thanks to Carl Anka for asking this question! I’m not really sure why you’d use your central defender in midfield to ‘clear space’ for your goalkeeper to play out especially when we go long with 60/70% of our GK kicks & you could also accomplish the same result with a midfielder there. Asking the likes of De Ligt/Maguire to organise the game with their backs to goal instead of a natural midfielder just doesn’t make sense to me. It’s such a small tweak that could be made that would improve our build up tenfold.

I couldn’t care less about the 100m or whatever Utd get for Fernandes, I don’t support a financial institution, i support a football club. Utd are on their knees, they need every bit of world class quality they can get their hands on. The club has a terrible track record developing young talent in the last decade and 99% of their signings fail. There are lots of clubs who have to sell their best players out of financial necessity but those clubs rarely win anything. If INEOS want to be Brighton then fine but you can’t be Brighton with Real Madrid expectations.

@ronaldobrown_98 I’m all for it as well. Let him live up to his own hype. Strong mentality with high potential but I feel he has got in the way of his own progress. Let’s hope the fee is a good 50m or more for a fantastic talent that wants to play and will likely be very effective in Europe
