We are cutting red tape to re-industrialize America. In support of @SecWar’s vision for the “Arsenal of Freedom,” the @DeptofWar is officially suspending the burdensome CMMC Phase II requirements – CMMC Phase I, NIST 800-171 Rev 2, and DFARS 252.204-7012 remain fully in place. Robust cybersecurity and operational resilience are non-negotiable, but we will not allow duplicative, costly, and bureaucratic compliance exercises to force innovative small, medium, and non-traditional businesses out of the defense sector. We are prioritizing speed to capability and actual cybersecurity and operational resilience over administrative paperwork. A CMMC Reform Task Force launches today, and we have issued an RFI to hear directly from the DIB.
