Counterpoint: A bad Guard will lose you the game way faster than a bad RB, LB, or Safety will.
And it's MUCH harder & MUCH more expensive to find an adequate Guard than it is an adequate RB, LB, or Safety.

@TFG_Football @MathBomb IMO value is the ability to win the game for his team. An elite RB can take over a game and score enough to win, w/o great guards. An elite iLB can force turnovers/make stops that wins the game for his team w/o an elite D. An elite Guard, cannot win the game. Still valuable tho.

So yeah like the optics on this are absolutely terrible and I think it's very natural for people to think this was all foul play on Baltimore's end.
We'll never know the full truth but it'll be interesting to see if there's response from other GMs not wanting to deal with them.

Idk where #Charhers fans are but their Front Office + Harbaugh has proved they can shop in the bargain bin and make chicken salad... But I'd be getting a little annoyed at this point that they just keep holding on to all of this excess cap space and seem to be a little TOO determined to always find the perfect deal.
