I've played RE games *a lot* throughout my life and one of the strangest misconceptions about 'survival horror' is that "ammo should be scarce" what part of old survival horror games ever signaled that? it wasn't silent hill it wasn't resident evil where did it come from?

@bcd323 @GenghisConnThr3 thats not particularly difficult in re1 if you set clear exploration goals and actually scrounge around. the amount of locked desks with shotgun shells alone give you more shells than anything in the mansion, and people who say they ran out of ammo seem to just suck at scrounging

@Fright_Face @MarsStudioArt @Abortblackbabys @GenghisConnThr3 I do explore and find a decent bit of ammo. Later in the game yeah you can be more gun ho about it but early on you should consider not fighting everything and learning to dodge them instead for the time being.

@alaskorly @GenghisConnThr3 And I did a similar thing like you in re1 remake where I was trying to kill everything i saw and it was crewing through ammo of mine. Sorry i’m a bit skeptical on the legitimacy of it. At best I think you’re just more experienced at the game to not deal with that issue.

@biggieU_U @ciethtears I purely use d pad because I can’t keep joystick straight or steady for tank controls. Speaking of it, in re1 remake you can still use tank controls even if you’re on the alternate control scheme by using the dpad while the joystick is in alternate.
