@BCiechanowski @haritssr How do you debug the canvas elements? Firefox and chrome do not seem to have a canvas inspector in the dev tools.

@BCiechanowski great article! one typo, i think this should be once per second right? In our movement, the second hand is cleverly mounted on the fourth wheel of the power train since that wheel rotates once per minute with high precision.

@BCiechanowski @BCiechanowski one thing I didn't get, or perhaps I just missed it, is how is the balance spring kept loaded? As far as I could tell it was just the mainspring that was being wound up by the automatic winding.
