25,000 people used @screenstudio last month. We’re still a team of 5. No investors. Every hire came directly from our revenue. There’s something humbling about that. But also something that’s been holding us back. It’s time to think bigger.

@naval I think Only if AI can have as high resolution and precision of expression as touch screens or cursor based desktop displays. Doesn’t need to be similar, but I believe text/voice is not that medium

@pie6k @screenstudio I enjoy using ScreenStudio. Just curious if there are any plans to add custom scenes? For example adding the ability to insert an outro/intro scene with company’s logo and maybe text?

@vinceservidad @screenstudio Our Screen Studio 4.0 branch has like 50k changes lines of code. Sadly it cannot be split into smaller chunks as we reworked a lot of core of Studio, but we’re hard at work with it

@pie6k @Leithden @screenstudio need additional software that I somehow need to interact with. E.g. then further editing with descript. But then I might need to go back and forth, as the "head cam" and the screen capture are meshed together and I'd need to change that in screen studio.

I don’t have strong opinion. Yes it’s Electron. What I like is we have full control over Chromiun version. If it works on my machine it’ll 99.9% work the same way on yours. As we use a lot of low level apis it’s important. I believe it is easier to write native bindings with Tauri.

@blvdmitry @screenstudio we had a lot of growth in the last months. Our user base almost doubled in ~8 months. To be very honest, I don't know what exactly caused it. I am certain vibe coding gave us a lot of growth - so many people create products now - they all want to present it in a beautiful way

Thank you! Screen Studio 4.0 has been in the works for about 4 months already, and it will come with a lot of new features. I don't like the fact that we have one huge release instead of plenty of smaller ones, but we have pretty much rewritten the core of our rendering engine, which unlocked many things or made them much easier. What features do you miss the most at Screen Studio?

@pie6k @screenstudio I used to be a Screen Studio user in the past, but honestly, haven't seen much good progress with the product. Comparing to other solutions now, it feels outdated

@o_kwasniewski @SzymonRybczak Does it run in sequence or in parallel? And is it live updated on GitHub? Sometimes we want to ship quickly (especially on Beta channel) and if 5 important tests pass, we’ll likely not wait for the rest if it takes so long it’d be slowing us down
