After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

On January 12th, Starmer’s govt will challenge the right of Craig Murray to bring a judicial review of its proscription of Palestine Action under the Terrorism Act. One of its arguments is that the matter will be decided in an English Court and therefore that decision will apply in Scotland. But Scots law is not English law and our courts are not inferior to England's; they are entitled to come to their own view under Scots law. It is time to remind Scots that Westminster is not the source of law in Scotland and according to the Claim of Right, it may not misuse, make or unmake law in Scotland as it sees fit. The Claim of Right is precedent to and constitutive of the so-called union and its so-called UK Parliament. It is also the foundation of Scots common law and limits the powers of parliament, govt and courts in specific ways. One of these is the prohibition of abuse of law by ‘stretching’ it to apply where it is not intended to apply - especially when the aim is to criminalise political dissent. By our Claim of Right, which is non derogable by the Anglo-British state, Starmer and his cronies *may not* invent or stretch law in Scotland to criminalise non violent direct action whether against genocide or any other govt crime. This is Scotland, not England - a separate nation with a different and far more progressive and just system of law. And beginning now, we are ‘taking back Scotland’ by proclaiming our Claim of Right, with everything it guarantees in terms of human and civil rights, impartial and universal justice … *and* political sovereignty.
