Was to be on the road for 3 days of collective bargaining, but the expectation of up to 60cm of snow at my destination brought sensible heads together. Perhaps the easiest decision between the union & the employer. Back to it in April. Running Reggie is a great replacement.

Differences in culture could not be more stark than this recent poll of how people see their neighbours. PEW questioned participants as to whether they saw fellow citizens as “morally good”.

Mixing business with pleasure… quick train to Toronto for client meeting and at night, take in one of the best jazz pianists Bill Charlap and on a second piano, his wife Renee Rosnes. Just a remarkable performance - the magic of two pianos and two great artists.

Imagine, the size and expertise of Canada’s largest pension plans building a relationship with Australia’s largest pension plans. The potential for continued plan successes are great in a changing world. Good time to be in a defined benefit, union pension plan.

Travel day to Southern Ontario for some customized negotiation training for a first responder client. Building skills and strategies that are specific to your union’s bargaining objectives is a great way to prepare for negotiations. I am happy that the airports are quiet. #canlab

Running where I work continues… quick evening run in Stratford Ontario along the river.

Keeping traditions going, my run where I work. Today’s long run along Lake Huron - 8kms of cold wind off the lake. Thank you to the @OPPAssociation for the invitation to speak at your AGM on member engagement.

Reggie’s favourite place - fall leaves and the cold river water make for perfect long weekend.

Perfect post-work run along the mighty Ottawa River. Playlist was The Blasters, Elvis C, Drop Kick Murphies, Clash… wish my cadence could keep up with my choice of music. I’m enjoying this Z2 training.
