What Twitter doesn’t seem to realize is that the Harry Potter Show is a combination of four big factors. 1. We are far enough away from the OG series that it’s nostalgic; we are in peak late 90s/early 00s nostalgia as we speak. 2. The show is going to include everything from the books; including new ideas. This will interest countless book fans and OG film lovers who felt that the movies left too much out. 3. This is Harry Potter for a brand new generation. The kids who watched those original films are now parents; parents who will be showing this to their kids for the first time. 4. It’s HBO and is being run by the best of the best. This is the perfect storm, with a Christmas 2026 release date as the cherry on top. The ratings are going to be historic.

The SAVE Act says your birth certificate name has to match your married name, and a marriage license is no longer considered an ID, so women will have to purchase a U.S. Passport in order to vote. It's just a poll tax for poor women who've never traveled, ruled unconstitutional

Boys get erections as newborns. I had two girls first and my son came last, imagine my shock when I was changing his diaper 😭🤪 it doesn’t actually turn sexual until older, but the physiology is there. And so so so sad for any boys who have been taken advantage of. It’s not taken seriously enough or talked about enough.

@rukky_nate I thought I was just going crazy until I found your post! I’ve always had X in dark mode and all the sudden was light and tried to fix it and there was no option. I fixed it in my phone settings. So dumb. Why would the do that? 😕

X has removed the dark mode and light mode settings. the app now follows your phone’s default mode. If your phone is set to dark, X goes dark. If it’s set to light, X goes light. not sure I like this update. 🤨

@davidamusick @HausenKS @a_klarke I completely agree with you. I feel like there are so many more of us who feel this way, but the extremist are just so much louder.

I'm not on the Left or the Right. My ONLY political concern is that crime should not exist. At this moment, only the Right seem to be taking any action towards this goal. When the massive levels of fraud throughout government were exposed, the Left were not outraged at all but protested and supported violence against the people exposing the fraud. When the violent crimes committed against confused children in the name of "transgender" were exposed, they threaten the lives of those who oppose this and double-down on their defense of this butchery. When the government tries to enforce immigration laws, they fight against law enforcement. When massive voter fraud is exposed, they fight against efforts to stop the fraud. The Left have consistently shown support for criminals and opposition to enforcing sensible laws. Even those on the Left who personally are anti-crime are too cowardly to break ranks and advocate for the victims of these crimes. I don't agree with everything the Right does, but they seem to be the ONLY ones interested in protecting me and my family against the hoards of criminals seeking to overrun our civilization and destroy everything good we are building. I'm not Left or Right. I am on the side of Humanity, and I want us to protect Humanity from all threats, especially from humans who actively harm others.

Last political post for awhile I hope, but this has to be said. I’m not a Trump supporter and honestly, a lot of people who aren’t Trump supporters are still completely fed up with the far left right now. Not because of “progress,” or “fairness,” or any of the values they claim to own. It’s because of the behavior: the purity tests, the tribalism, the reflex to label anyone who disagrees, even slightly, as an enemy. One wrong word, one nuanced opinion, one “I don’t fully agree,” and suddenly you’re a fascist, a bigot, or “part of the problem.” That’s not activism. That’s a cult mindset. Compromise is treated like betrayal. Questions are treated like violence. And “the science” gets invoked like a religious slogan, right up until the data becomes inconvenient, then it’s ignored, reframed, or shouted down. Meanwhile, the same people who demand empathy have none for anyone outside their in-group. Normal people are exhausted. We want solutions, not moral grandstanding. We want reality, not ideology. And we’re done pretending this kind of insane extremism is “just being passionate.” Sincerely, Normal people everywhere

granted, jack is the only one who has said anything at all while everyone else has remained silent, but in his statement he clearly voiced his support for the women’s team & was also in attendance at their games & stated that megan keller is the first person he thought of when he scored the golden goal. we don’t know what each player’s role was in terms of that video, you can clearly hear a few of them in the background saying “2 for 2!” & “absolutely”. while i’m sure some players do share trump’s views (after all, this is a rich white man’s sport) the fact is you DON’T know how they feel or their individual relationship with women’s hockey or it’s players. pretending you do & cancelling players based on a short clip of them of them awkwardly laughing at a bad joke the president made makes zero sense. & this is coming from someone (me) who hates trump & his administration, & who attends almost every sirens game & has supported women’s hockey since forever.

My thoughts on Trumps comments about USA Women's Hockey Team: 1) If you're mad about this but don't believe women should have a category free of men, you're just an unserious person. 2) not going to lie, I face-palmed when I heard it. I knew exactly how it would be spun. I know his humor, but this one missed the mark IMO. 3) Trump is the reason true women's hockey exists. USA women's hockey has just recently voted to ban men from women's hockey (hasn't instituted it yet). Wouldn't have happened without Trump's EO. There are teams with as many as four men on one USA hockey women's team (Minnesota). How can people claim he doesn't care about women's hockey when his EO is the reason true women's hockey will exist at all? 4) it's unfair to disparage the men's team over taking the phone call, going to SOTU, being proud to be an American, etc. They've been incredibly supportive and congratulatory of the women's team. Jack Hughes said Megan Keller's golden goal in the women's game was his inspiration to do the same. Stop trying to pit them against each other. 5) I wish the women would attend Trump's SOTU address. They were invited just as the men were. I think their attendance would've inspired young girls across the country and been significant for the sport of women's hockey. I hope it really was just a scheduling issue they couldn't be there. 6) in general, there's a group of people so anti-America that they genuinely hate patriotism. They don't want unity. They'll use an inspiring sports story to tear down the man in the Oval Office. Y'all are weird. My heart swells with pride for both the men's and women's team. 6) there is still a ton of work needing to be done to protect women's sports and the threats they face (abusive coaches, NIL, adequate funding & resources, etc). I'll continue to use my contacts and platform to advocate for these things and encourage others to do the same.

I like Jack Hughes. He seems like he has a good heart. He's also 24 and hasn't yet realized that for women and queer people, our entire existence is political. Everything we do. All the time. We don't get to opt out of that. Yes, Mr. Hughes, everything is political.

My husband played hockey growing up. One time he got 3 of his front teeth knocked out onto the ice. He bent down, picked them up, shoved them back into his gums and kept playing 🙈😂 When he went to the dentist after the game the dentist says “good thing you put them in facing the right way” and my husband says “I didn’t even think about that 😳” They had a good laugh about it and sent him on his way. One of those teeth finally did die a few years ago and had to be pulled out. The other two are holding strong though and insurance won’t cover replacing one tooth implant sooo he’s been rocking a missing front tooth for years 🤪

I've been watching soccer mostly for the last couple of years and one thing I hate about it is the diving and theatrics. Jack Hughes was bleeding from the mouth and had two teeth broken about 25 minutes ago. Injuries that would have ruled a soccer player for weeks. Jack Hughes? Goes out for his next shift and then wins it in OT. Hockey players are a different breed.

When I was at ESPN, I was asked to have Jack Hughes write a letter to his future self during his draft year. This passage stands out today... espn.com/nhl/story/_/id…
