$RKLB If Rheinmetall is really interested as in willing to bid the same as Rocket Lab and committed to make the company work to secure Germany's national space strategy this will be tough to close for Rocket Lab. It's easier to ask a foreign government permission to buy their high-tech company if it is struggling and if there are no national bidders. In that case if they dont'approve then the company goes out and that does not help anyone. But if this report is true that means German regulators have to now decide by handing the company to their national champion with deep local lobbying or to a foreign US company all the while the country is re-arming themselves and Trump has made US-EU relations sour then ever before. My take: If Rheinmetall is truely commited and willing to bid the same then quite confident it will be rejected. My bet is then that Rocket Lab will go and built them inhouse.
