The "gandalf-ication" of Ahsoka wouldn't be so jarring if she was actually enlightened. Her becoming a stoic, hyper traditional Jedi (off screen btw) when she already learned that path serves little to no good, feels like a betrayal to her essence.

@emwishes913 both andor and project Hail Mary are pretty recent and massively successful projects that take place in space / on different planets
they think sci-fi can’t be mature if you fully lean into it and that audiences can only relate to characters if they’re on earth

@emwishes913 I get that green lanterns are hard to translate to live action properly but purposefully making or at least marketing it as a grounded detective story and considering Gunn said the dcu is gonna have a similar structure to Star Wars
