Per the story, Hathaway was unaware of the strike until a SAG-AFTRA staff member gave her a heads-up. “Once Anne was made aware of what was going on, she just got up from hair and makeup and left," a source tells Variety.

We have a deal! -automatic 3.25% raise for all unit members -new salary minimums -no difference in pay b/w employees in NYC and those living elsewhere -six weeks of severance pay for EVERY worker from day one -health care coverage, PTO, and paid holidays for part-time workers
