@bdier330 @metabolic_print Guanfacine is not bad but of course not addressing root cause. I would look for nutrient deficiencies, (zinc/b12/folate/vitamin D etc) and microbiome infections/imbalances

So apparently, a cheap supplement (NAC) can massively improve autism...?

@NicoleRinconPA @metabolic_print We’ve been hesitate to use pharmaceuticals with our son (he’s 11) high functioning ASD but a lot of behavior challenges adhd. Schools hard etc (reading / math -2nd grade level) ultimately did try guanfacine which has been helpful with no adverse effects. Would u recommend this?

@metabolic_print It was one of the key supplements for recovery for my sons autism. PharmaNac is probably the best quality. 10 years after my kids diagnosis, we still use it. It can also bind gliotoxin in addition to increasing glutathione. I prescribe it all of the time for my patients
