Speaking of gerrymandering, have you heard of prison gerrymandering?
White Republicans use incarcerated people to be counted by the census as residents of the town the PRISON is located in rather than their home communities. This increases their political representation and FUNDING for those districts while incarcerated people themselves cannot vote.
What you allow to happen to incarcerated people will happen to you.

A mature oak is one of nature’s greatest biodiversity hot spots. A single tree can provide food and shelter for more than 2,300 different species.
Hundreds of caterpillars that feed baby birds, plus moths, beetles, fungi, lichens, squirrels, and many more all call it home.
One oak can live 200–400 years (some over 600), working as a keystone species the entire time.
Planting or protecting even one oak is one of the highest-impact things you can do for local wildlife.
It’s a living legacy that keeps giving long after we’re gone.
