@BeaLeongAIDA OKU card. Getting a letter from the doctor have to shell out money. I keep thinking about other persons who might need the seat more than me. I dah berapa kali duduk on the floor.

RM550k can fund the start and pilot of 6 resource centres on autism as a central point for community out of the dreaded Zone Tengah. Enabling better equitable access to support for autistics. Spending it on academics building modules that already exist is a waste of $

Autism is not a learning disability. Autism CAN co occur with a learning disability, and autism can also NOT co occur with a learning disability. Giftedness is not autism ringan, giftedness is not a diagnosis even. 2024, when would Malaysian get with the programme?

RM550k grant to academics who still can't define or understand autism? While the world pushes for autistic representation in co-design, UM, NASOM, and IDEAS remain stuck in the 80s, focusing on eye contact as the main "revelation" about autism. Aku trauma.

And when will corporates learn that instead of saying “jobs for PwDs” can’t they simply say if you need accommodations or a disability, kindly let us know what access needs. How many more stupid ND programmes you wanna create. Balik balik “high functioning” hire only

Until one can step out of the circle and view it from a distance, without baggage - you won’t see how people play around with the lives of those who are often sidelined and oppressed (OKU, OAs, etc). Worse is they do it to each other too. Trapped in a scarcity cycle

I’m also not over hearing a self proclaimed therapist for autistic kids sharing that she put her clients in an isolated room to do therapy that no one else can go in. Not parents either. “But we give cctv” 1/2
