This is Chris Skidmore He was a Tory MP. And briefly a Minister. He passed #NetZero into our laws after no proper debate, no vote, no public consultation. Without either a plan or a budget or any idea how to do it He's no longer an MP. Instead he's running a company advising others on how to hit Net Zero This stinks!

@trussliz The weird thing is lefty people will be having a go at you while supporting Rachel Reeves from accounts of all people. They will also all come out with the same predictable lettuce jokes etc. while completely ignoring the sheer incompetence of the people they support themselves.

People seem to be catching up with what I said in 2022 - which is that the OBR process doesn't work and makes economic policy worse. But the problem is deeper than that. There is a "Treasury view", shared by the Bank of England, that is Keynsian. It supports closer integration with the EU/Net Zero/high immigration and big Government. Getting the Mini-Budget through this system was an achievement in itself. But of course these bureaucrats and their allies in the media contrived to undermine it. The lesson is that a new, accountable system with new people needs to be put in place. Otherwise pursuing the right economic policy for Britain - lower taxes, smaller Government, lower migration, less regulation and cheaper energy - will be impossible.

Matt Hancock is giving evidence at the Covid-19 inquiry for the seventh time. Hancock was responsible for services in England where more than 46,000 died between March 2020 and January 2022, many of them in the early weeks of the scamdemic. He knew exactly what he was doing letting vulnerable people back into the care homes. There was no Covid, there was no pandemic. There was in fact….Morphine, Midazolam and Remdesivir and later in December 2020 the Bio-logical weapons were released. Hancock hasn’t posted on his X account since December 2024. He is literally bald and scared at the Convid inquiry this morning. A family member of mine is a nurse in Canada. They performed several assisted dying procedures at the care home they worked at, before refusing to continue. In one case, the family of a mentally disabled man decided they wanted him to be euthanised. He didn’t want to die. But my family member was legally forced to end his life. They held his hand while he told them “I’m hungry” and “I’m thirsty”. That poor man didn’t understand what was happening to him as he was pumped full of medication that would end his life, and my family member wept for the soul that was being lost unnecessarily. He wasn’t terminally ill. He wasn’t particularly old. He wasn’t dying. He didn’t want to die. But he didn’t have a choice. Because his life was deemed dispensable by his family, and the Government gave them the power to end his life regardless of his needs or wishes. And when my family member told their workplace that they couldn’t continue performing these procedures — that their conscience wouldn’t allow it — they were told that it was their “legal duty” as a nurse. They still refused. But not everyone will have the moral fibre or bravery of my family member. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and this is exactly what the Assisted Dying Bill opens the door to. It starts with “choice” and “dignity”. But suicide isn’t only done “when the patient wants it”. And the countries where it is already legalised have shown us the grim reality. In the Netherlands, 40% of euthanasia deaths occur without patient consent. In Canada, it has been offered to Paralympians who only asked for a mobility aid. If it can happen there; it will happen here. People 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 be killed against their will.
