@wwalsh This actually highlights one of the biggest differences culturally. There is more acceptance in Australia of collective actions that impinge on the individual for the common good. The stereotype of the rebellious Crocodile Dundee type has always been wrong. We bloody love rules.

This kind of hits on something. I think most Australians are aware that we are culturally similar to the USA in some ways – but feel really passionately about never letting our society become like theirs.
