Sikhs in the USA have found themselves the victims of hate crimes and discrimination because they were thought to be Muslim by bigots. Even then, many of them refused to say "I'm NOT a Muslim.": "It's just not an option for us to throw another community under the bus."

@daaku9363 ur the moron. sikh tradition/texts support what he said. Guru Amardas Sahib started the tradition of a Sikh Divali. The Guru gave a ਹੁਕਮਨਾਮਾ for their Sikhs to come to their Darbar for Divali to celebrate (kirtan/langar). the tradition carried on through to the 10th King & beyond
