@Prof_GD_Foster Family history is fascinating. I did some of my own, read like an episode of Eastenders, and with better plot twists. I've also visited the WW1 grave sites. The scale is what strikes you. No relatives to remember and respect. Good to research though.

Now I'm retired I have had great fun doing the research like a old school project, literally with scissors, pritt stick etc, I hope to write it all up into a booklet when I get back

A 🧵on my upcoming 60th bday prezzie from my better half which is guided trip to major WW1 & WW2 battle sites and graves. Cant visit everyones graves as I was born of a mixed marriage, ie mum from Portadown and dad from Lurgan, (if you are fron Norn Iron you'll understand)

@ManUtd Dreadful ticketing arrangements for buying tickets to Community Shield. Get to front of queue and choose seats and get put back in queue, not checkout. And phone lines closed today. I don't need to be in same queue as hospitality sales either.
