There are 3 Expressions of Speaking in Tongues: 1. The Personal Tongue – Builds the Individual This is a private, spiritual language spoken to God for personal edification. Key Verses: •1 Corinthians 14:2 (NLT) – “For if you have the ability to speak in tongues, you will be talking only to God… you will be speaking by the power of the Spirit, but it will all be mysterious.” •1 Corinthians 14:4a (NLT) – “A person who speaks in tongues is strengthened personally.” •Romans 8:26 – The Spirit helps us pray when we don’t know what to say. Summary: •Spoken to God •Understood only by God •Builds the believer spiritually •No interpretation needed 2. The Proof Tongue – A Sign to Unbelievers This is when believers speak real earthly languages they never learned, as a supernatural sign. Key Verses: •Acts 2:4–6 – The disciples spoke in other languages, and people heard their own native tongues. •Acts 2:8 – “How is it that we hear them speaking in our own native languages?” •1 Corinthians 14:22 – “So you see that speaking in tongues is a sign, not for believers, but for unbelievers.” Summary: •Real human languages •Supernaturally understood •Confirms God’s power to unbelievers •No interpreter needed 3. The Prophetic Tongue – Builds the Church This is used in church services and must be interpreted so everyone can benefit. Key Verses: •1 Corinthians 14:26 – “Everything that is done must strengthen all of you.” •1 Corinthians 14:27 – “Someone must interpret what they say.” •1 Corinthians 12:7 – Spiritual gifts are given “to help each other.” Summary: •Spoken publicly •Requires interpretation •Strengthens the church •Brings prophetic encouragement Personal Tongue → Builds you Prophetic Tongue → Builds the church Proof Tongue → Reaches the world ✌️

Adam and Eve hid behind a tree; naked, covered in shame. Jesus hung on a tree; naked, taking our shame.

Yes it’s present tense, but in Greek present tense can be use; - For humility - For storytelling emphasis - For identification with a past reality Also look at the context read from verse 13. Also see similar use in Romans 7v14-25. It was how Paul saw himself in humility. Read all of Paul’s letters he always has a greeting for the church with to the saints. E.g. Rom 1v7 - To all who are beloved of God in Rome, called as saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor 1v2 - To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, saints by calling, with all who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours. What happens at salvation is you are rescued from the Sin nature and the consequence of that nature, Hell. When you become born again you are born again out of the sin nature into the God nature, you become a saint.

I beg my brothers and sisters to please stop platforming such persons. They either grossly distort the nature of our Triune God, royally misunderstand the gospel—-either treating it like a pass to live loosely (in the name of liberties) or mix it with the law, or shift the focus

You guys are wrong, he said believers are not sinners. Johnny Chang is right. Either you are a saint or sinner, you can't be both. Your Lex Lutheran guy does'nt understand what repentance means. How can we be a sinner and a saint? makes no sense. Salvation is a change of nature. We became new creations. It's our mindset we need to renew Romans 12:1-3.
