@Beathhigh It was always students accommodation / halls of residence in the 80s and 1990s and the Lanarkshire area if memory serves. Scary times.

The meningitis outbreak in Kent is bringing back some memories. I was 19, misdiagnosed as migraine. Got to stage I couldn’t get out of bed. GP visited, asked me to sit up. My back hurt a lot. Lightbulb moment - ambulance, lumbar puncture, recovery.

It’s Déjà vu all over again. The Scotsman, October 29th 1987…
