Woke up to this in my local paper. While I’d love a chance at another (hopefully more successful/enduring) team, I don’t think it works, being so close to Sydney, who already have 2 teams. Honestly, would really love a TAS & NT team in SSN first #netballchaos

This should be the final nail in the coffin for the failed mutual obligations scheme. Income support recipients are already forced to try to survive on poverty payments. Robbing them of the meagre incomes they rely on is unforgivable. Labor must immediately suspend the scheme.

@AusElectoralCom Thanks for that. I’d been taught, from the moment I could vote, that cause it’s a 2-party preferred system, if you voted outside of 1 of those 2 parties, your vote still ended up with them, depending on the who the party you voted for had ‘aligned’ themselves with, so to speak.

@bec2708 Parties don’t choose preferences. Voters do. A voter can number their ballot paper however they like. Parties distribute material outside a polling place indicating how they’d like you to number your ballot but you don’t have to follow it.

@BringBackMonkey Yes, they will. When I was 3, our neighbour friend, who was 5, was riding her bike in front of her house, with a helmet on, and was so severely attacked in the face, she ended up in hospital. I have been respectfully fearful/alert of them ever since. Her injuries were terrible

@TheNettyLife No. We should want our players, in our own league as much as possible. Why should our players have to go o/seas to ‘lesser’ leagues (as everyone keeps saying they are), if those leagues aren’t even good enough for their own players? Not our responsibility to develop everyone else

@TheNettyLife Vibes, culture, a feeling of smugness and arrogance. A little pettiness. It all contributes really. And to clarify, it’s all directed towards them as players, coaches, clubs, etc. Nothing personal outside of them doing their job
