A man who claims to be a Sikh, forced out of business because Muslims want him to sell halal. Sounds dramatic. But peel back the layers and it crumbles fast. Rangrez has a 3 star food hygiene rating. Google reviews at 3.9. Tripadvisor reviewers talking about masala chai in cardboard cups, food tasting like tomato puree, and a grubby toilet held together with duct tape. People who walk past say it’s a ghost town. This wasn’t a thriving business brought to its knees by Muslims. It was already on life support. He calls Muslims “inbreds” on his timeline. He put up a sign saying “Rangrez Proudly Non Halal Restaurant.” That’s not a disclaimer, that’s a provocation. And when people react, out comes the camera. Provoke. Film. Play victim. Build following. Repeat. Today he got arrested at his own restaurant amid chaos he’s been stoking for weeks. No Muslim is walking into a mediocre London restaurant demanding halal meat. There are thousands of halal options across London and thousands of non halal restaurants. Kapoor himself told FeedTheLion that Muslim friends eat dal and vegetarian dishes at his place “and they are most welcome to.” His own words destroy his own narrative. He didn’t just go after Muslims either. He attacks his own community using the term “Khotistani” to mock Sikhs who disagree with him. Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall, one of the largest Gurdwaras in the world outside India, announced legal action against him for defamatory TikTok videos outside their premises. The Sikh Press Association called him “a known agitator that has long posted disrespectful anti-Sikh content.” He marched with Tommy Robinson and was then booted from Robinson’s circle for insulting Sikh communities. Too extreme for Tommy Robinson. lol Here’s the real irony. Kapoor came to the UK as an asylum seeker from Afghanistan. His own words on X. Now he marches with people whose entire project is pulling up the drawbridge on people exactly like him, telling other immigrants to “f*** off.” Either he lacks all self-awareness or he’s worked out which side of the culture war pays better. The timing isn’t coincidence. Rupert Lowe has made banning halal the centrepiece of his Restore Britain party. When a neo-Nazi affiliated account asked about kosher meat, he said “ban it.” Kapoor slots right into that machine. A brown face saying what far right activists want said. He’s useful to them and he knows it. Muslims and Sikhs in Britain have lived side by side for generations. Don’t let a man with a 3 star hygiene rating, a trail of posts calling Muslims “inbreds” and Sikhs “Khotistani,” who came here as an asylum seeker and now marches with people who’d shut the door on him, who is facing legal action from one of Britain’s biggest Gurdwaras, poison what our communities have built. That’s all this is. Opportunism at its ugliest. And a really bad restaurant. 😂
