if there's anyone who deserves the honor of all broadway theatres dimming their lights it's gavin creel. he raised generations of artists. he was universally admired by his peers and colleagues. only dimming the lights at select theatres is wildly disrespectful.

Selective Broadway dimming reminds me of that crappy thing where some people in the Oscar memorium sequence get more applause than others

The disrespect the Broadway League displays time and again with these partial dimmings is just regularly scheduled outrage of late. This is the last thing our mourning community should be occupied with. Dim them all.

Gavin was a literal pillar of the theatre community, we saw all over social media just how much he touched every single person in it. Only dimming the lights at “select Broadway theaters” is insanely disrespectful and I really hope @BroadwayLeague reverses their decision.

As someone in charge of dimming the lights in tribute at a Broadway theatre, I promise it takes… maybe 60 seconds out of my day… and makes a world of a difference in other peoples.
