The Tory party is dead. Something may rise from the ashes but the party of Disraeli, Churchill, Thatcher and Major is gone. In seeking to placate a bunch of Eurosceptic loons on his backbenches and fend off ukip - Cameron destroyed it completely. Shame he dragged us all with it.

@beckymort Thank you.,It's good to hear all these things. I'm sure there's a scientific explanation about the bones of the head changing how you hear yourself compared to how others hear you. I'm slowly getting used to it but it's always jarring. 😊

Christ I hate my voice, my crappy Lancashire accent, and my working-class phobia of being perceived as "doing art" but I promised I'd record a poem to a drawing. Wrote this for the Valentine's openmic but didn't get to perform it. And, yeah, there's a clumsy inversion. Sue me.

@beckymort Oh I agree. The emphasis was on "my" not the rest of it. I know how it sounds when I read it in my heart and it's just like it slightly closer to that.

If you don’t know what a mortgage prisoner is - my mortgage went up 14 times since the beginning of 2022. The rate now is about 9.1%. Payments more than doubled and I’ve had to sell my house. I couldn’t move to another lender. It is theft. #MortgagePrisoners
