October is #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth. A more representative name would be #DomesticAbuseAwarenessMonth. Domestic abuse takes many forms and does not always involve physical violence. Abusers may utilise multiple types of abuse to intimidate, isolate and control the victim.
