100% of the belief that angel saying “i’m not getting any older” at the end of btvs was a nod to this

some of the magic and campiness of a show like btvs is the absolute refusal to acknowledge the very clear signs of aging that both spike and angel showed throughout the eight year run of both buffy and angel. It’s beautiful and magical and i love it
