We had the best time pond dipping with @HiimpactZack today. We explored pond habitats and found lots of creatures, that we caught in a Petri dish. We used #PicCollage to create our own collage using the photographs we had taken. @ComputingBedfo1 @BedfordScience1

For #FieldworkFortnight we enjoyed learning about pollution and exploring different factors outside that contribute towards pollution. We talked about the ways we look after our world and help reduce pollution. 🌍♻️🌍♻️🌍♻️ @GeographyBDPS1 @EcoBedfordDriv1

We had a great visit from the Birkenhead fire brigade today for our Great Fire of London topic. We loved seeing inside the fire engine and looking at the different tools. The children asked fantastic questions and got to see how hard our fire service works to keep us safe.

@CulturalCurric1 2CF loved the #PlaygroundChallenge today. We completed Teddy’s obstacle course and it was lots of fun! ⚽️🥅

Katie showed us her Grandad’s fire hat today. He was in charge of a brigade in Devon. We talked about the role of fire fighters and their uniform, which links to our topic of The Great Fire of London @history2bedford

Year 2 had a wonderful time meeting Theresa and Jodie the guide dog today. We learnt so much about guide dogs and how important they are for people with needs.

2CF loved their computing lesson today, learning all about making music. We created patterns with cubes to help us form a rhythm for our instruments. Then we used the chrome books to make musical rhythms too. It was great fun. @ComputingBedfo1 @MusicBedfordDr3

Our new @LiteracyCounts1 book is ‘The King Who Banned the Dark’ by @emilyhb and we were super excited to receive a special delivery from the King this morning. We debated whether we should ban the dark, or not. What do you think? @EnglishBedford

Eco Club have signed up and purchased some ink cartridge recycling boxes to help increase the amazing amount of recycling we already do @Bedford_Drive You can now recycle your old ink cartridges in school, just bring them to the main office. Thank you ♻️🌎♻️🌎
