This Saturday, officers from the team had the pleasure of attending the Kenyan Cultural Event 🇰🇪 From vibrant traditional attire to delicious food, dancing, and powerful voices from the Kenyan community, the event was a beautiful celebration of culture, unity, and connection.

PCSO Danny Mchugh had a fantastic time last Friday at the Luton Irish Forum’s Baby & Toddler Group! Danny brought along one of our police vans, and the little ones were thrilled to see the blue lights and hear the sirens up close. It was a real joy to spend time with families!

Officers had the pleasure of attending the St George’s Medieval Celebration on Saturday! We loved engaging with everyone who came along & joined in the festivities. A special shoutout to Haneesh & his sister Jhansi for the beautiful pictures they drew — such talented artists!

Yesterday, we attended the Hindu Mandir Centre in Lewsey Farm to speak the luncheon club members. It was a great opportunity for us to offer crime prevention advice, engage in conversations to find out what issues people are facing. Thank you for inviting us!

We had the honour of attending the Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Luton to join the Sikh community in celebrating Vaisakhi – a vibrant and important festival . We were proud to take part in the uplifting ceremony, including the raising of the Nishan Sahib, the Sikh flag.

This afternoon I was on out on foot patrol in the Bury Park area in this lovely sun! I popped into the Bury Park Community Centre to say hi to all and came across 'Total Wellbeing Luton'. I even got my blood pressure checked which came back all in the good! PCS0 4485

Cohesion officers attendee the Link Community Centre over the weekend to engage and educate the children on hate crime. With the help of our wonderful police volunteer Rita James, we were able to hand out Easter eggs to all in attendance!

Over the weekend, officers from the community and cohesion teams attended the 2nd Sri Lankan New Years celebration! We had such a great time meeting everyone at the High Town Methodist Church. Thank you for the invite, we thoroughly enjoyed our time!

Officers attended both the Inspire Eid and One Eid events today in Luton. It was wonderful to see so many of you out at these events. Thank you to everyone who came and spoke to us! We hope you all enjoyed the events! We hope you all have a wonderful rest of your Eid!

We were invited to the Turkish Community Iftar yesterday, it was a wonderful evening filled with meaningful conversations and of course, delicious food! We are grateful for the Turkish community inviting us down to learn more about the holy month of Ramadan.

Yesterday, we attended the launch of Mary Seacole's second stage of the Let’s Not Forget project – A Walk in the Past! Thank you to Mary Seacole for inviting us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the event!

We had the pleasure of attending the Luton Wicketz 'Glow in the Dark Cricket' activity with the High Sheriff. A new concept which kids are loving! Great work from all at Wicketz! An important opportunity for us to engage and provide some knowledge around community policing.

This morning we attended the Little Stars Pre-school CYCD as this months theme for the nursery is professions. We spoke to the little ones about the police's roles and responsibilities and even brought down a police van for the kids to see and try out the sirens and lights.

We had a fantastic time at the SOCIALEYEZ Lunch Club in Dunstable on Shrove Tuesday! 🥞☕ It was a wonderful opportunity to chat with the group about the issues that matter to them while enjoying great hospitality—plenty of tea and, of course, delicious pancakes!

Today, Cohesion officers had the pleasure of attending the Biggleswade Wellbeing Hub, where we engaged with those in attendance, offering crime prevention advice and getting involved in some fantastic arts and crafts activities! 🎨🖍️

Cohesion Officers attended the Guru Ravidass as they celebrated their 648th birthday! A new flag (Nishan Sahib) was raised outside the Gurdwara , followed by celebrations inside, and the Guru Ravidass received the Kings award for Voluntary Services.
