After considering new information that was not known at the time of acceptance, we have decided to withdraw from the event. When an event becomes too politicized, for any reason, we prefer not to take part. We believe we should have the right to stay outside of these political matters and keep our focus on our passion and esports. Some of the reactions over the past days have been hurtful, even if we understand the concerns behind them. Hasty conclusions and online outrage can lead to harmful outcomes; taking the time to seek proper information is essential. That is what we have tried to do, and it ultimately guided our decision. We acknowledge that certain aspects could have been handled with greater diligence. At the end of the day, as DotA players, we simply want to live our passion for the game.
