As a sustainability and innovation partner to leading institutions, we were honored to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) to support the secure processing and recycling of shredded banknotes, advancing circular economy practices within the financial sector. #UAE في خطوة استراتيجية تهدف إلى تعزيز مفاهيم الاقتصاد الدائري بقطاع المركبات الكهربائية، أعلنت وزارة الطاقة والبنية التحتية بالتعاون مع شركة “لوهوم”، الهندية المتخصصة في إعادة تدوير بطاريات المركبات الكهربائية وإنتاج المواد الخام، و”بيئة”، عن توقيع اتفاقية لتأسيس مشروع مشترك لتطوير أول مرفق واسع النطاق في دولة الإمارات لإعادة تدوير بطاريات المركبات الكهربائية. وسيقدّم المشروع حلاً متكاملاً يشمل إعادة توظيف البطاريات المستعملة ضمن تطبيقات “العمر الثاني”، قبل تفكيكها بأمان لاستخلاص المواد القيّمة منها. يٌذكر أن الإعلان عن هذه الشراكة جاء خلال القمة العالمية لطاقة المستقبل 2026 ضمن فعاليات أسبوع أبوظبي للاستدامة، وتأتي هذه الخطوة امتداداً لاتفاقية تعاون سابقة بين “بيئة” و”لوهوم”، لإدخال تقنيات متقدمة لإعادة تدوير بطاريات الليثيوم-أيون إلى دولة الإمارات. ومن المقرر أن يٌقام المرفق الجديد ضمن مجمع “بيئة” لإدارة النفايات بطاقة تشغيلية تستهدف معالجة نحو 1,500 طن من البطاريات خلال عامه الأول، بما يدعم الطموحات الوطنية للاقتصاد الدائري، ويسهم في تسريع وتيرة التحول نحو حلول التنقل المستدام في الدولة. In a strategic move to advance circularity in the electric vehicle sector, the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI), Indian battery recycling and raw-materials producer LOHUM, and BEEAH have entered into an agreement to establish a new joint venture to develop the UAE’s first large-scale EV battery recycling facility. The end-to-end solution will repurpose used batteries for second-life applications before safely dismantling them to recover valuable materials. Announced at the World Future Energy Summit 2026 during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, the joint venture partnership builds on an earlier collaboration agreement between BEEAH and LOHUM to bring advanced lithium-ion battery recycling to the UAE. Advancing Sharjah’s decarbonization roadmap, BEEAH and Masdar have signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) to identify and develop utility-scale solar energy projects in the emirate. Formalized at the World Future Energy Summit 2026 in Abu Dhabi, the JDA was signed by Khaled Al Huraimel, our Group CEO and Vice Chairman, and Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO of Masdar. Under the agreement, we will jointly assess, select and progress viable solar photovoltaic projects, with scope to explore other clean energy opportunities. The initiative strategically builds on our legacy of successful collaborations with Masdar, including the joint development of the region’s first commercial-scale waste-to-energy plant. The Biennale of Sydney is returning for its 25th edition under the theme “Rememory”, shedding light on marginalized narratives and histories. Under the artistic direction of Her Highness Sheikha Hoor bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President and Director of Sharjah Art Foundation, the 25th Biennale of Sydney will inspire audiences to reimagine old stories and shape new ones while celebrating communities of the past, present and future. The 25th edition will include the work of Ema Shin, paying homage to those who lived in the shadows. Her iconic, richly embroidered textiles are shaped into voluminous sculptures of anatomical hearts, seeking to make the forgotten stories of the past seen and felt in the present, an impactful contribution co-commissioned by BEEAH. Since 1973, the Biennale of Sydney has been a platform for thought-provoking art and ideas, showcasing works of over 2,000 artists and engaging millions of visitors from around the world. #UAE أعلنت شركة بترول الإمارات الوطني (إينوك) وشركة “آيون” المتخصصة في حلول التنقل المستدام —المشروع المشترك مع الهلال للمشاريع عن توقيع شراكة استراتيجية لتركيب شواحن كهربائية سريعة من نوع “التيار المباشر” في محطات خدمة “إينوك” داخل إمارة الشارقة وذلك في خطوة تهدف إلى تعزيز بنية شواحن المركبات الكهربائية في الإمارة.   وقّع الاتفاقية كل من أمير ميلاد، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة “آيون”، وزيد القفيدي، المدير التنفيذي لقطاع التجزئة في مجموعة إينوك وبموجب هذه الشراكة، ستتولى “آيون” توريد وتركيب وتشغيل محطات الشحن من خلال منصتها الموحدة للمركبات الكهربائية. وإلى جانب الاستفادة من الشواحن الجديدة المتطورة، سيتمكن عملاء “إينوك” من الوصول إلى منظومة شحن شاملة توفر لهم سهولة الدفع عبر التطبيق، وإمكانية الحجز المسبق، والتنقل الموجّه إلى أقرب نقاط الشحن المتاحة.   ومن خلال “”آيون” نفخر بتوظيف الحلول الذكية لتلبية الطلب المتزايد على شحن المركبات الكهربائية في الإمارة، وتسريع التحول نحو التنقل المستدام تماشياً مع السياسة الوطنية للمركبات الكهربائية. In a move to further strengthen Sharjah’s electric vehicle infrastructure, the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and ION, our sustainable mobility venture with Crescent Enterprises, have entered into a strategic partnership to deploy DC fast chargers across ENOC service stations in the emirate of Sharjah. The agreement was formalized by Amir Melad, CEO of ION, and Zaid Alqufaidi, Managing Director of ENOC Retail. As part of this collaboration, ION will supply, install, and operate the charging stations through its unified EV platform. Along with access to ION’s next-generation chargers, ENOC customers will benefit from this end-to-end EV charging ecosystem, which offers drivers seamless in-app payment, pre-booking capabilities, and location-based navigation to nearby charging points.
