@JohnchoVilla Hmmm... I'm not quite as optimistic. I think the team plays really well at times, mostly because Wemby is unreal, but we still need a major talent injection. We have starters who would be backups on most playoffs teams and backups who wouldn't even make the rotation.

@JohnchoVilla Yeah, I was looking through some pbpstats combinations, and one thing that stood out is that Devin and Keldon sharing the court together brings down their NETRTG. They are just wholly incompatible and it brings down their overall +/- numbers. Something I'll have a closer eye on

@beermonkey Yeah! Good catch. End of the day, Sochan/Vassell/Vic have been good together and that’s through a rough patch of playing through injury, coming back from injury and shooting slumps. Will look better offensively over time.

California has a negative balance of payments with the federal government (meaning, it pays more in taxes than it receives in benefits) of $168/capita. Meanwhile, the Speaker's state (LA) receives $4,519/capita more in benefits than it pays in.

New — Asked Speaker Johnson about placing conditions on aid to California, and he tells us: “I think there should be conditions on that aid.” Said that’s his personal view before talking with the conference. Also says “there’s some discussion” within the House GOP about tying the debt limit increase to the aid “but we will see how it goes.” Aid to rebuild after natural disasters often is approved without any conditions and with significant bipartisan support. But there could be a big fight over the California aid in the coming weeks.
