Despite the Match referee passing the pitch playable at 10am, no rain, with none forecast the game is off. Our opponents deemed their ground unplayable and the league have taken that. We now need to travel there on yet another Tuesday night. Speechless...

MATCH ABANDONED Despite being 3-1 up in the second half tonight’s game was abandoned due to fog We pleaded to the official to give it 10 minutes to clear unfortunately after protests from @MONEYFIELDSFC our plea wasn’t listened to and the game was abandoned this was the state of play 10 minutes later We await confirmation from the league but expect the game to be replayed Apologies to those who came out to support

Former chairman Dan Wills has provided his own statement regarding this matter: It has taken me a while to get over my departure from the club but I feel now is the time to answer questions being asked and put some rumours to bed. During my spell as Chairman I was in control of all financial dealings and expenditure for the club. I hold myself solely responsible for the failure to control the payment of bills including rent payable to the council and brewery costs. Funds which should have been used to pay for the running of the club were instead used to pay for the unsustainable first team wage bill and other expenses that I thought were needed for the success of the team which culminated in NMTFC winning the league. I take full responsibility for the situation the club was left in financially when I had to step down as Chairman. I may have been naive with my actions and took it upon myself to make all the decisions without any forethought and advice from any of my colleagues at the club. I believe the committee, in place at present, will move the club into a position where it will be run sustainably and progress and build. I only ever had the clubs best interests at heart. I wish the club all the success in the future.
