Arewa has no media is such a funny way to mask up the stupid misplaced priorities of your people. When Bello Matawalle’s son inlaw cheated, you people had enough voices to make it trend in every corner of the internet for days. But Matawalle as minister of defense has never trended on Arewa media for his failure to tackle the constant daily killings of Northerners under his leadership. Even the top voices in Arewa have turned to slaves to the very politicians that failed to protect the North. Arewa’s problem is stupid misplaced priorities centered around marriage, relationship gossips and political almajiri pandemic not lack of media.

Arewa bamu da media, ana kashemu, kuma ana underreporting, kuma munyi shiru. Is it because most of us that have access to smartphones live in the big cities that are relatively safe(the lies we chose to believe), su duk abunda akeyi a kauyuka ko a jikinmu?

@abis_fulani The fact that LGBTQ adopted natural colours should have been reason enough to avoid them in a conservative, Islamic society like Kano. Feedback is a gift — not envy or abuse. Meanwhile, kudos to @BelloGaladanchi & UBEC. 👏

If a natural rainbow appears in the sky, would you start crying that God is painting the LGBTQ flag? Of course not — because it’s simply nature. Allah created the rainbow, and the LGBTQ community adopted it as their symbol in 1978. That aside, these are primary colors, and children naturally love bright, colorful things. The goal is to excite the children and make the school more child-friendly. If you don’t like it, go and build your own school and paint it whatever color you choose. As for now, kudos to Dan Bello and SUBEC. #nigeria #kano #lgbt

@Edrees4P From the info I got, Jilli is actually a market where terrorists attend. So many of the stalls at the market belong to the terrorists where they sell stolen goods & cheap rates. Unfortunately, civilians do attend the market & then this incident happened

The question remains unanswered: who are the over 212 people killed? Were they all terrorists, including women and children burned beyond recognition? It’s better to admit a mistake and compensate victims than hire fake analysts to justify the killing of innocent Nigerians.

@SM_CEE10 What a watery story. It's unbelievable that someone fabricated a story just to push some kind of narrative. If truly they caught a bandit, there's no way the suspect will be released by security agencies. Guy this story is what we call TATSUNIYA in Hausa

@ZagazOlaMakama @DHQNigeria @HQNigerianArmy It breaks my 💔 seeing comments supporting the incitement by the youth leader. What efforts did the youth do to first unravel the identity & where the attackers are? I see these recent escalation of violence on the Plateau as another political move by our enemies. Watch out

@JaafarSJaafar This write-up, as good & factual as it is, will only scare good people out of politics. For me, let him be there and then hold him accountable for his actions. I would rather support Pantami than support someone with established or corrupt tendencies

Let me make it clear that I am not against Sheikh Pantami’s decision to join partisan politics. It is his right as a Nigerian citizen, just as it is our right to criticize. I am a fan of Sheikh Pantami the cleric, but not Hon. Pantami the politician. As his fan, I do not want his reputation as a religious leader to be soiled by politics. But it seems the fanatical Pantami supporters (the Pan-termites) are pushing Mallam into the ring. Well, I have done my best to caution Mallam. But as the saying goes, he who is destined to be beaten to a pulp, ignores appeals to stop fighting. Nigeria has weak institutions, gratuitous political culture, corrupt civil service and disregard for rule of law. Nigerian political space is a jungle where the powerful often wins and the weak loses. No thanks to the presidential system. In a presidential system like ours, winning a governorship or presidential election requires huge funding, with donations coming from ten-percenters, shylocks, contractors, political opportunists, ex-convicts, you name it. And once elected, repayment is expected through inflated or unexecuted contracts, policy favors, etc. The Supreme Court is the most powerful institution in Nigeria, while the president is the most powerful individual in the country. Yet despite declarations against the diversion of local government funds, the practice persists. That tells you something about structural resistance to reform by Nigerian politicians. Let’s be frank: no one can occupy public office in Nigeria and emerge entirely unblemished under thorough scrutiny. Tax defaults or delayed filings, discrepancies in Code of Conduct records, awarding contracts to companies with links to family members, questionable estacodes, inflated protocol expenses — the traps are many. No sheikh, pastor or technocrat is immune to these ‘minor’ but clear criminal offences.

As I've said before, and I'll repeat it again, the money you were paid will soon be exhausted, and then you'll revert to your default setting. For now, keep drowning in your stupidity. The same coward and clown who ran away from military training is on X running his mouth, it's no surprise you choose to be this obtuse.

Thank you for yesterday's insults. I have another question: Why does the @HQNigerianArmy have a school of Islamic Affairs? Is there a school of Christian affairs? Or a school of traditionalist affairs? Is Nigeria actually a secular state?

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever among you lives (after me) will see many differences, so you must adhere to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided caliphs. Hold on to it with your molar teeth. @QassamMH17372 @insharifain Stop comparing Maulid to events like night clubs. Maulud is treated as part of religion, yet neither the Prophet ﷺ nor his companions practiced it, so it is bid‘ah. But things like Halloween or nightclubs are not seen as acts of worship—they are sins, not bid‘ah.

Excerpts from the Friday Sermon Title: “A Clarification on the Ruling of Celebrating (Mawlid)” By Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, Imam and Khateeb of Masjid al-Haram • A Muslim is commanded to follow (the Prophet ﷺ) and forbidden from innovations and introducing matters contrary to the religion. Allah said: “O you who believe, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger”. And the Prophet ﷺ said: “Beware of newly invented matters, for every newly invented matter is a bid‘ah, and every bid‘ah is misguidance.” He ﷺ also said: “Whoever lives among you will see many differences, so hold on to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided caliphs after me. Hold on to it tightly with your molar teeth. And beware of newly invented matters.” • The righteous predecessors (may Allah have mercy on them) strongly warned against innovations and commanded adherence to the Sunnah and leaving all forms of bid‘ah. Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Follow and do not innovate, for you have been sufficed. Hold fast to the old way, for it is enough for you.” And Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Every innovation is misguidance, even if people see it as good.” • Bid‘ah changes the religion, distorts the truth, and replaces the Sunnah with innovation. It takes root in hearts and spreads among people, weakening their bond with Allah and leading them astray. • Among the most famous innovations is what is done in Rabi‘ al-Awwal in celebrating the birthday of the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet and his companions did not do it, nor did the rightly guided caliphs, nor those who followed them with excellence. • Mawlid celebrations include many violations such as mixing of genders, extravagance, raising voices with singing and poetry, and using frivolous words. • Imam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “If a season is taken as a religious season without basis in the Shariah, like celebrating nights of Rabi‘ al-Awwal which they call ‘the Prophet’s birthday,’ it is an innovation that was never practiced by the pious predecessors. Gathering for the Mawlid contains no religious benefit but rather resembles Christian practices.” • The truth is that Mawlid celebrations today have become gatherings of dancing, eating, unlawful mixing, and invitations to misguidance. People claim to love the Prophet ﷺ while engaging in innovations he never commanded. • True love of the Prophet ﷺ is not by innovating, but by following his Sunnah. Allah said: “Say, if you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your sins.” • There is no benefit in innovations; rather, they are misguidance. Whoever calls to them is reviving falsehood and extinguishing the light of the truth. The authentic texts clearly forbid such gatherings, which only open doors of misguidance and ignorance. • Message to the Ummah: Fear Allah regarding yourselves. Abandon these innovations and misguidances. Hold fast to the Sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ. Islam began as something strange, and it will return to being strange, so glad tidings to the strangers.

“Innovations in the Religion of Allah” By Sheikh Usaamah Al Khayyat, Imam and Khateeb of Masjid Al Haram Whoever introduces into the religion something new and legislates from himself what Allah has not permitted, then it is rejected and not accepted from him. As mentioned in the hadith narrated by Imam Muslim in his Sahih, from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever introduces into this matter of ours (religion) that which is not from it, it is rejected.” So every way that leads to celebrating the Prophet’s birthday is an innovation. If it was good, the early generations would have preceded us in it. But it is a rejected innovation, which must be discarded and not acted upon, even if some people find it acceptable or admirable. True humility is shown in accepting the truth, and the righteous predecessors acted accordingly. So every good lies in following the way of those who came before, and no reform will come to this Ummah except through what reformed its beginning. Therefore, hold firmly to the authentic actions proven by the Shari‘ah, and beware of following the innovator. Indeed, worship is only acceptable through what has been legislated by Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.
