A neighbour who knows that I like such things gave me a 1976 Spadina Subway progress report that they found in their house.

@adsk4 its interesting you mention this area, because I always felt like it had a reduced colour depth. so if thats the case, it makes perfect sense. I assume its concrete photo reference plus extra painting on top

A baseless rumor spreading, which is "the image of the Pyramid Head holding a spear in the 1st pic from Lost Memories: SH Chronicle was a specially created CGI model", but it was simply a reused in-game model I did for Fukuro, which I had already applied a high-res texture to.

@Beetlenaut The max texture size we used for the PS2 title was 512x512/256 colors. The texture size I applied to the characters in Fukuro was 1024x1024/Full colors.

@JodiesJumpsuit its insane that Ive been biking past that dead building for 20? 25? years. I actually have no memory of it being active someday it will be a hideous condo and I will miss the derelict building.

Last week I passed by the derelict, abandoned giraffe condo sales office at Bloor and dundas and realized the entire time my son has been alive the building has stood empty, and we told him tales of the nightlife that once occupied it. Anyways my son can vote now.

How does a game like JazzPunk even happen. I wish there was someone who knew anything about that.

@adsk4 I always loved this poster, because I think its the first mention of the term "Adventure Horror" which was in stark contrast to Survival horror Id always hoped "Adventure Horror" would catch on, but Action Horror seems to have dominated the past 20~ years. at least for AAA games

NEW: One side of the so-called “Garage Mahal” parking facility at Ontario Place could end up featuring a huge digital screen — rivalling the size of those at Sankofa Square/Yonge & Dundas. thetrillium.ca/news/municipal…

@g_meslin ABC Books might be the only remaining business left there from that time. but I remember it the same; a little sketchy but bustling with life all the camera stores, poster stores, headshops, t-shirt stores... you could walk for kilometers down yonge and it was interesting

@Beetlenaut The Yonge of my youth was seedy, but it was awesome. Record stores, arcades, head shops, used book stores, and electronic/audio shops that sold ridiculously large ‘ghetto blasters’.
