Whatever X is doing to clean up the mess that’s been created by Monetization, I really don’t mind. So many people have gotten blue ticks & turned into idiots, insensitive humans, bigots and just A-holes just so they can farm engagement through rage bating, sharing ridiculous opinions, insulting people & what not. I’m glad there is a crackdown. We need it. And don’t get me wrong, it’s okay to get paid on the platform for your engagement. But your sole purpose of being on the platform can’t possibly be to get paid. That should be secondary. Use the platform to learn, grow, interact & do genuine messaging. We need a return to normalcy or whatever little sanity we once had. People now think all Blue ticks are simply mad men & women who are too lazy to earn money like other normal humans & just want a quick pay day from Elon’s money. Some have unfollowed & blocked blue ticked accounts - including the innocent ones. That sucks! Anyway, sorry to all those whose accounts have fallen victim to the purge. But let’s all try to be kinder, wiser, more considerate, more humane & more mindful of the stuff we post. The money is good, but don’t sell your soul & turn into a demon trying to get it.
