At this stage of life, college reunions whizz past - but I had such a fine one last night with @KingEconomist & many others that I was pleasantly surprised to awake in my hotel room rather than a police cell. Numerous lamp posts now look like that after I hung off them.

There’s nothing wrong with a notched lapel on a dinner jacket - as worn by Sean Connery, Prince Philip, President Obama and (with immeasurably less style & historical significance) me.
