for approximately the same cost, Montreal is building a 42-mile fully automated metro. the solution isn’t to buy cars that will just get stuck in traffic. the solution is build transit more efficiently, which can even pay for itself via increased land values

@BenWoodfinden Excellent Metro System but from an upper left coast perspective, unlike Vancouver or Seattle, or even Cleveland, can't ride from downtown to the airport yet... though I do like easy appreciate the close proximity to the KFC or PFK near the Plamondon Metro station.

C’est un exemple classique d’urbanisme esthétique : ce que les villes font quand elles veulent bien paraître sans rien faire de concret. Ce n’est pas parce que tu mets des petites fleurs ou des happy faces que les conducteurs vont soudainement commencer à respecter les piétons.
